Whack-N-Type is a new take on the classic arcade-game "Whack-a-mole", where you must whack through a large selection of moles with different abilities.

With extensive library of info, tips and lore you are sure to set the scene in your mind. The bestiary contains each mole and their information so you can become an expert moleologist.

This is but a proof of concept, made in a couple weeks between 19-11-24 and 04-12-24. Copilot was used in debugging and optimization of code.

All money this game gathers here is used to primarily get Whack-N-Type into steam first. After that is achieved, I will start commissioning art and music for the game to make it more fleshed out. I'm a game-designer primarily, not an artist.

Future prospects:

FLESHING OUT the catch. I am looking to make the capture mechanic connected to the bestiary and codex to make catching more rewarding. Not to mention animating the catch mechanic, both the normal and pyramid capture. The idea is that the player starts with no known moles in bestiary, but as they capture moles instead of just whacking them, entries of these moles are slowly opening up on

ADDITIONAL MOLES. There are several concepts already in the game's bestiary, but I have like 30 more on paper. Here are a few examples not mentioned in the bestiary: Moleshroom, Champimole, Molecisian, Molegg, Molefish, Dark Mole, Good Mole, Molefiltrator and like a couple dozen more.

ITEMS! I want to make some Molebile Phone item that does something cool, maybe used to summon moles mid-game? But that would require me to make an entire inventory system as well, so it will take a little extra time, as this is my first videogame. If I manage to get things done as I want, there will be a crafting menu as well to combine stuff the moles have dropped, like gold-nuggets from goldmoles with quantum-particles gained when catching quantumoles, to make some absolutely dumb stuff.

LORE is something I want to do more deeply when I get the time. I like writing, and after the game has proven its worth to the community as a fun way to kill time, I'll make more stuff regarding the moles and their world beneath the surface. Maybe even an expansion at some point so we can change the direction of the invasion, and go down to whack the moles, instead of waiting for them to come up.
